Liaison, in partnership with their hosted Centralized Application Systems (CAS), has created an CAS-ERP Data Integration Committee comprised of individuals using some of the major ERP systems (Banner, PeopleSoft) - we are still looking for individuals using Datatel and Jenzabar to join the committee - to improve, and to respond to questions about, CAS-ERP data integration within all programs and schools participating in any CAS and to provide guidance for those programs and schools who are contemplating CAS membership. Hi,

I'm thinking of using SARERUL in tapeload processes. I think this somewhat play a role in loading CAS data so if anyone have any guidance on how to implement a function to use in SARERUL_FUNCTION, please let me know.

thanks.

Good morning Le,

The table you mentioned is accessible via form SAAERUL, and is a critical component of the setup process for electronic application processing.  The table contains many of the important rules governing how applications are loaded into Banner, what the default values are for certain fields, etc.  The Banner Student documentation provides a comprehensive discussion of this table's functionality, and I strongly suggest you review it carefully before creating apps electronically, whether via SRTLOAD or via the Self Service web interface.

If you would like to discuss using SAAERUL, drop me an e-mail with any questions you may have.  rick.bader@umdnj.edu.

Regards,

- Rick
